Camp Hope 2011 Applications NOW Online!
Monday, January 31st, 2011Mark your calendars for Camp Hope 2011 July 16-22 at the Rock Eagle 4-H Campground in Eatonton, GA. Applications are now available online. Counselor positions fill up quickly, so please adhere to the deadlines:
- Returning Counselors: Thursday, May 5, 2011
- New Counselors: Thursday, June 2, 2011
We need teens, college students and adults who are willing to step out in faith and join us in our endeavors to change the direction of these childrens’ lives by serving as a counselor for the entire week or being a day volunteer. Camp Hope Golf Tourney 5/9!
Tuesday, January 25th, 2011Register for the 7th Annual Camp Hope® Golf Tournament on Monday, May 9 at the Atlanta Country Club in Marietta, GA. Reserve your foursome or sponsor a hole by completing the registration form and return to Cris Hunt by:

2010 hope4christmas Party!
Monday, November 22nd, 2010Camp Hope Counselors and Volunteers: Join us for Camp Hope’s annual Christmas party, hope4christmas on Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Bethel UMC. Campers and Counselors reunite to sing carols, give out presents and celebrate Christmas. Cookies, hot chocolate and cider will be served.
If you were a counselor and had a camper at camp, please read below:
We are distributing general gifts to campers again this year. Girl counselors bring a gift for a girl camper and boy counselors bring a gift for a boy camper. Purchase a gift that is age-appropriate for the Cornerstone (3rd-5th grade) or LTA camper (6th-8th grade) you had. You only need to purchase a gift if you had a camper. Don’t spend more than $25 and please wrap the gift prior to the party. Please call the office if you have any questions.

Monday, November 15th, 2010A HUGE thank you to all who donated towards a Camp Hope family receiving a Christmas dinner. With your help, we raised over $6,700!! At the hope4christmas party, we will provide each family with a $50 gift certificate to Kroger. Thank you for your support and generosity so our Camp Hope families are able to enjoy a Christmas meal.

Thursday, October 14th, 2010Camp Hope Christmas Dinner Sponsors Needed: Your generous donation of $50 will purchase a Christmas dinner for a Camp Hope family. Here’s how you can help:
- Please stop by the Christmas Tree (located at the top of the stairs across from the welcome and greeter station) at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church on Sundays October 24 and 31 to choose a family for whom you will sponsor a Christmas dinner.
- Purchase a Christmas Meal at our online store.
- Send a check to the Camp Hope office at 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068. Please make your check out to “kidz2leaders” or “Camp Hope” and write “Christmas Dinner” in the “for” line of the check.

“Tomorrow Belongs to Me” a Success!
Wednesday, September 29th, 2010Sunday’s debut of “Tomorrow Belongs to Me” was a hit! Rev. Diane Parrish, Charlie Marus, Lee Herring, others sang the Camp Hope story through the eyes of campers, counselors, custodial parents and inmates. The show featured songs from some of Broadway’s famous shows such as Wicked, Cabaret and Les Miserables . The play also revealed the unfortunate cycle of generational incarceration. But amidst such stark statistics, Camp Hope is reversing the cycle and bringing hope to prisoners’ children. Thank you to all who attended the debut of “Tomorrow Belongs to Me” and for your support of Camp Hope!

Be sure to join us for “Tomorrow Belongs to Me” on Sunday, September 26 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Chuch. Come see the new play written by founder Diane Parrish telling the story of the Camp Hope children through stage and song. A love offering will be collected to support Camp Hope!
