hope4christmas – Sat, Dec 17

Camp Hope Counselors and Volunteers:

You are invited to attend the annual hope4christmas party on Saturday, December 17 from 10:00 a.m. to noon.  The party will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church.

We’ll enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and cider, sing carols, give presents and have lots of fun celebrating Christmas with our Camp Hope campers!

Please join us for our Christmas celebration and be sure to RSVP if you plan to attend by calling the Camp Hope office at 770-977-7751 or RSVP to Judi Horne.   

Important Note about Gifts:

COUNSELORS: If you had a camper, please bring a general gift for a camper. You only need to purchase a gift if you had a camper. Please don’t spend more than $25.

  • Girl counselors bring a gift for a girl camper and boy counselors bring a gift for a boy camper.
  • Purchase a gift that is age-appropriate for the Cornerstone (3rd-5th grade) or Leadership camper (6th-8th grade) you had.

Sponsor a Meal for a Camp Hope Family

Camp Hope Christmas Dinner Sponsors Needed: Your generous donation of $50 will purchase a Christmas dinner for a Camp Hope family.  Here’s how you can help:

  1. Please stop by the Christmas Tree (located at the top of the stairs across from the welcome and greeter station) at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church on Sundays October 30th and November 6th to choose a family for whom you will sponsor a Christmas dinner.
  2. Purchase a Christmas Meal at our online store.
  3. Send a check to the Camp Hope officeat 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068.  Please make your check out to “kidz2leaders” or “Camp Hope” and write “Christmas Dinner” in the “for” line of the check.

Sponsor a Camp Hope Family for Christmas!

As the holidays approach, we have Camp Hope families who are in need of assistance with food and/or Christmas gifts.  There are opportunities to sponsor meals or provide gifts for a family.

  • Christmas Dinner Sponsorship:Your generous donation of $50 will purchase a Christmas dinner for a Camp Hope family which will be given at the hope4christmas party.  You can purchase a Christmas meal on our online store or send a check payable to kidz2leaders to 4385 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA 30068 (please designate “Christmas Dinner” in the “for” line of the check.)
  • Family Sponsorship: We have Camp Hope families who need assistance with Christmas gifts for their children.  Donate gift cards or purchase gifts for a family in need.  Contact Cris Hunt if you would like to sponsor one of our families in need.  This is a great project for a Sunday School class or small group!

Your help will provide a very special Christmas for our Camp Hope “kidz” and their families.  Please call the Camp Hope office with questions at 770-977-7751.  Thank you!

2010 hope4christmas Party!

Camp Hope Counselors and Volunteers: Join us for Camp Hope’s annual Christmas party, hope4christmas on Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Bethel UMC.  Campers and Counselors reunite to sing carols, give out presents and celebrate Christmas.  Cookies, hot chocolate and cider will be served.

If you were a counselor and had a camper at camp, please read below:
We are distributing general gifts to campers again this year.  Girl counselors bring a gift for a girl camper and boy counselors bring a gift for a boy camper.  Purchase a gift that is age-appropriate for the Cornerstone (3rd-5th grade) or LTA camper (6th-8th grade) you had.  You only need to purchase a gift if you had a camper.  Don’t spend more than $25 and please wrap the gift prior to the party.  Please call the office if you have any questions.

Thank You!

A HUGE thank you to all who donated towards a Camp Hope family receiving a Christmas dinner.  With your help, we raised over $6,700!!  At the hope4christmas party, we will provide each family with a $50 gift certificate to Kroger.  Thank you for your support and generosity so our Camp Hope families are able to enjoy a Christmas meal.

hope4christmas Party!

hope4christmasThe hope4christmas party was quite a success!  We had about 350 campers, their parents, counselors and volunteers gather together to celebrate the Christmas season.  It was also a reunion for campers and counselors – and all those that attended Camp Hope 2008!

We sang Christmas carols, ate a pancake breakfast, recognized those LTA campers that have graduated to be counselors next summer and handed out Christmas presents.   Everyone had so much fun!

Don’t forget about the hope4christmas party next Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 – 12:00 in the Fellowship Hall at Mt. Bethel UMC.  Click here for directions to Mt. Bethel.  If you haven’t already, please RSVP by calling the Camp Hope office (770-977-7751) so we know how
many people to expect for breakfast
