Hello, Camp Hope Volunteers!
Our staff team has already jumped into the careful planning of Camp Hope 2019, and we are excited to share that this summer will mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of our ministry.
As you may know, each year we have been intentionally increasing the number of campers we are serving through Camp Hope, and we desire to continue this same growth rate throughout the next several years. In order to offer our camp experience to as many children of inmates as possible, we believe it’s necessary to slightly re-structure.
Starting in Summer 2019, we will split our Cornerstone and Leadership Training Academy campers into separate sessions of camp during three different weeks: Two weeks serving Cornerstone, and one week serving LTA. This division will allow us to provide campers with more individualized attention from our staff and volunteers, and it will allow for higher quality, age-appropriate activities if we focus on fewer children at a time.
Dates for Summer 2019 Sessions are as follows:
Leadership Training Academy: Campers ages 12-15
June 2nd-7th at Camp Twin Lakes in Warm Springs, GA – 50 campers/35 volunteers needed
Cornerstone: Campers ages 8-12
June 9th-14th at Camp Twin Lakes in Warm Springs, GA – 60 campers/40 volunteers needed
June 29th-July 3rd at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA – 100 campers/90 volunteers needed
