We are thrilled to announce that Kidz2Leaders is beginning an expansion effort into Birmingham, Alabama!
For 25 years, Kidz2Leaders has existed for one purpose – to break the cycle of generational incarceration. We’ve had the privilege of providing opportunity, stability, and Christian community to thousands of children and families. In 2024 alone, our programs served nearly 800 individuals. With 99% of our alumni living free from incarceration, God has shown incredible favor to our ministry.
We are passionate about bringing hope to every family, and our work has only just begun. There are nearly 200,000 children with an incarcerated parent in Georgia and a staggering 4.5 million across the United States. This population is one of the most underserved and often unseen. Our programs are unique in that there are very few organizations focused on the impact of parental incarceration. With our twenty-five years of experience, our gospel-centered and trauma-informed programs, and our history of success, Kidz2Leaders is truly one of a kind.
Last year, we developed a vision for ministry expansion. Our strategic plan includes doubling the size of our current programs in Georgia over the next five years while simultaneously expanding into a new state. Prison Fellowship, a long-term ministry partner, helped us identify Birmingham, Alabama as a place of great need. Over the next two years, we will be working to establish a second office in Alabama while we continue growing our ministry in Georgia. It’s our goal to have a second Camp Hope location with year-round programming and support offerings available to children and families in Birmingham beginning in 2027.
